Historic Team Performance

For the first time in program history, the SDU secured the Bennett Strange Power Award, an honor bestowed on the school with the highest win percentage across all styles of debate at this tournament.

Collectively, Murray State’s debaters had a 65% win rate.

Murray also won 1st Place overall debate sweepstakes in parliamentary debate, a feat that was only possible with so few debaters (compared to the size of other programs) because of their impressive win rate.
