Starting the year off strong, Murray State’s Speech & Debate Union won 4 state championship titles in debate and 2 in speech at the Kentucky Forensics Association State Championship.

Murray State’s IPDA debaters had a 67% win rate, the highest out of any school in the tournament.

Additionally, Caleb McCurren (Senior) was the recipient of the Harlan Hamm Award, which recognizes the top Kentucky student who is an exceptional competitor, exhibits strong leadership on the team, and is heavily involved in the community.
