Old School, New Fire

8 alumni returned to help the Murray State Speech and Debate Union host our annual Jackson Purchase Swing Collegiate Speech & Debate Tournament. This event was the largest in program history.

19 schools attended the tournament from 7 different states, with 5 schools being first-time attendees.

There were 641 speech and debate entries over the 3-day competition.

Community Support

170 community members showed up to support our tournament through judging and volunteering, including EVERY SINGLE member of the Murray State Women's Soccer Team, Murray State Faculty, Staff, and Students, and 12 Murray State SDU alumni.
